Linux	My operating system of choice.
The Gimp	The GNU Image manipulation Program was used for all image manipulation done for this site..
Perl	Currently my favorite programming language. See www.perl.com or www.perl.org for information.
LaTeX	a typesetting system based on TeX by Donald Knuth. If you can handle gzip'ed postscript, you can look at my thesis (220K) for an example. For more information see the english or german FAQ or visit the german users group DANTE e.V.
POV-Ray	Until it got too tedious on my old machine I used to do some raytracing graphics using the free but excellent Persistence Of Vision Raytracer. View some examples of that work.

GnuPG	GnuPG is a complete and free replacement for PGP. It provides strong cryptography for e-mail and files. For my public key and pointers to the FAQs go here.
No SPAM!	One of the biggest nuisances on the internet is SPAM, or unwanted commercial messages via Usenet or Mail. For some hints on what to do about it go to spam.abuse.net.
BBGTHTML	The Bare Bones Guide to HTML was useful in the creation of this site.
