International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI)
The IMEI is a 15 digit Code, which you can mostly find on the label on the
back side of the hand-set under the battery.
On many hand-sets you can show out the IMEI by typing *#06#.

TAC = Type Approval Code
(T): a six digit number. The first two digits are
the country code of the approval-country, e.g.:

= manufacturer-Code (F): two digit number, e.g.:

Attention, some of these numbers can apply to more than one manufacturer,
just as one manufacturer can apply more than one number!
SNR = Serial Number
(S): six digit number
SP = Spare
(P): two digit number, until now always "0"!
